The HydraCare Tray
The HydraCare Tray is designed to promote hydration through a simple yet engaging user interaction.
At the centre of the design is an illuminated “drink” prompt, which can change colour via remote control and acts as a subtle visual reminder to encourage regular water intake throughout the day.
To further support this behaviour, the tray incorporates a marble-based tracking system. As water is consumed, marbles can be moved along designated channels, providing a tangible and intuitive way to monitor daily intake. This interaction introduces a nostalgic element, referencing the use of marbles in childhood play, and adds a sense of familiarity and enjoyment to an otherwise routine habit.
The design also prioritises practicality. Integrated handles allow the tray to be easily carried and repositioned, making it suitable for use across different environments such as living rooms, bedrooms, or workspaces. The use of wood enhances both durability and tactility while contributing to a warm, natural aesthetic that fits comfortably within a range of interiors.
By combining functionality with interactive and emotional elements, the HydraCare Tray encourages healthier habits while maintaining a clean and thoughtful design language.
