Mdina Glass Exhibition: Entry & Engagement Space

This project was developed as part of a group exhibition, where my role focused on designing the introductory experience. The aim was to create a welcoming and engaging entry point that both informs visitors and encourages interaction.

The design is divided into two key zones. On one side, a curated display offers a preview of the exhibition, showcasing selected Mdina Glass pieces to give visitors an initial understanding of the craftsmanship, colour, and form they will encounter throughout the space. This acts as a visual introduction, drawing attention and setting the tone for the exhibition.

On the opposite side, an interactive area invites visitor participation. This space allows individuals to reflect on their experience by drawing or sharing ideas inspired by the exhibition. Strings and pegs are incorporated to display these contributions, creating an evolving installation shaped by visitor input. Additionally, a set of magnets is provided as takeaway souvenirs, offering a tangible reminder of the visit.

The colour palette is directly inspired by the vibrant tones of Mdina Glass, ensuring a strong visual connection with the exhibits. To maintain consistency across the exhibition, these colours were also aligned with the artistic language developed by other group members.
